“INVEST-PARK” for sport and education

Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “INVEST-PARK” supports sport initiatives and educational initiatives aimed to develop competencies useful in future professional life.

In 2014 WSEZ “INVEST-PARK” supported over 30 initiatives. One of them was the participation of Polish HAIDONG GUMDO Association in the European Championships in Haidong Gumdo that took place in Paris and was a great success. From 500 competitors from 19 countries the members of the association won 46 medals amongst which 14 are golden. WSEZ believes in a similar success of girls from cycling club LKS ATOM during the Olympics in 2016 and in the advance of male basket players of “Górnik Wałbrzych” to the II league – whose trainings are also supported by WSEZ. “INVEST-PARK” also actively participates in the educational development of young people. It equipped amongst others the chemistry lab in Public Gymnasium number 6 named after Janusz Korczak in Wałbrzych. The fume hood allows the students to gain practical knowledge – now they not only can observe but also personally run experiments. WSEZ supports also the activities of Wałbrzych Science Circle functioning by II High School and the Robotic Circle in Politechnical High School “ENERGETYK” in Wałbrzych. New skills can also be gained by students of High Schooll number 1 in Dzierżoniów, who can use a hydraulic station equipped by the Zone.
