In Września’s Economic Activity Zone we have about 250 acres (100 ha) of free land. It is one of the most attractive investment places in Europe because of the Volkswagen factory being built nearby, perfectly prepared infrastructure, the proximity of A2 highway, an airport and academic centres – says Barbara Kaśnikowska, the President of WSEZ “INVEST-PARK”. – operating in the zone also allows the investor to use tax exemptions, which in Wielkopolskie Province can be even 45 percent of investment costs or 2-year costs of newly hired employees – she explains.
The headquarters of the company running the zone is in Wałbrzych which is distanced from Września by about 250 kilometres. “INVEST-PARK” officers have between ten and twenty meetings in Wielkopolska with potential investors a month. To increase the efficiency and to answer to the needs of investors Wałbrzych’s zone is opening an office in Września. Responsible for contacts with investors, municipalities and business institutions will be Jacek Konopka, the manager of the agency office.
He was the vice-president of Kalisz for many years, that is why he know the specifics of the region. As a licensed real estate broker he also has experience in sales of lands – explains Teodor Stępa, Vice-president of Wałbrzych’s zone. – I am sure our activities will result in next investments and job places – he adds.
The agency office is situated in the centre of Września on Chopin Street 8. WSEZ “INVEST-PARK” covers the land in Wielkopolskie Province in eight cities (Jarocin, Kalisz, Kościan, Krotoszyn, Leszno, Rawicz, Śrem oraz Września). An application to include additional lands is waiting for the decision from the Council of Ministers.
