New jobs in Bolesławiec

At least 50 people will be employed by Favorite Gifts Print Europe. The Dutch company will invest almost 9.5 million zlotys, and it will conduct business activity in one of the shop floors built by the Wałbrzych zone. The ceremony of presenting the new investor with a permit was held in Bolesławiec.

Favorite Gifts Print Europe is a Dutch family company producing advertising materials. This year, the company has celebrated the 50th anniversary of its existence. It has production facilities in Holland and Belgium, and its products are sold all over Europe. Twenty people have already been hired to work in Bolesławiec. Production is scheduled to start at the beginning of August.

“We have already recruited the first candidates and we are building a very good team. There are many young people who connect their future with the region and with our firm. Some of them have even returned from Ireland or the UK because they have prospects for development here,” said Paweł Zech, Managing Director of Favorite Gifts Print Europe in Bolesławiec.

“Our sales offices are located in eight countries, and our offer is increasingly more popular. For this reason, we have made the decision to expand production,” added Joost van Helden, a member of the board of Favorite Gifts Print Europe.

A permit to conduct business activity in the Wałbrzych zone was symbolically granted during the ceremony. The company will conduct business activity in a production hall constructed by the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “INVEST-PARK”. Four such facilities have been built: in Wałbrzych, Nowa Ruda, Kłodzko, and Bolesławiec. All of them have already been leased out.

“We have decided to build infrastructure in those places that had potential, and where we knew we could count on excellent cooperation with the self-government. The Ministry is planning to erect another ten production floors in Lower Silesia, and 60 elsewhere in Poland,” declared Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik, Deputy Minister of Economy.

The production facility in Bolesławiec was put into operation in November, 2014. It is used by three companies: Turningtec Polska, SRG Global, and Favorite Gifts Print Europe.

“Due to high interest in the halls, we have decided to build further ones. In Dzierżoniów, a production hall with a floor area of 5,600 m2 will be constructed, and an even larger one in Września, with an area of 10,000 m2. We are sure that they will not be left standing empty,” emphasized Teodor Stępa, Deputy President of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “INVEST-PARK”.

Favorite Gifts Print Europe has been the eighth company to invest in the Bolesławiec subzone of the WSEZ. These companies’ total capital expenditure has reached almost 220 million zlotys, and they employ 490 people.

“Our cooperation with the Wałbrzych zone has been exemplary. Its beginning marked a turning point in the development of our town. We know that we can always count on Mrs. Antoniszyn-Klik’s support,” said Piotr Roman, Mayor of Bolesławiec.

Apart from Szprotawa, the Bolesławiec subzone is an area of the WSEZ that lies closest to the German border. There are 54 ha of investment-ready land available to investors here.
